You find yourself sitting at a table in an outdoor café on the west coast of Florida and, in the distance, you hear a hum-able tune drifting across the breeze. It’s a song with an Americana sound by local singer/songwriter, Johnny Arrowhead. Arrowhead’s music blends acoustic guitar playing and harmonica with punchy rhythms and soulful electric leads. But, it’s his story telling that draws you in.

From a politically charged diatribe on racial injustice in the song, "Jasper, TX", to a broken hearted plea for reconciliation in "Please Don’t Pull The Shade", Arrowhead offers truth and variety. He blends a twangy country sound and a clever play on words in the duet, "Two", but he can just as easily deliver urban rock.

When the waiter brings you your check you ask him, “What do you know about this Johnny Arrowhead guy?” He grew up among the sand dunes and mangroves of St. Petersburg, Florida racing barefoot on his green Schwinn Stingray. He learned the Twist listening to the Beatles from a transistor radio in his cousin Donna’s room. He transformed from a clean cut Catholic altar boy to a longhaired guitar wielding Neil Young wannabe at the University where he began honing his songwriting skills. As he matures, his life experiences provide a passionate perspective on the world around him, and he shares it in his songs.

You thank the waiter for the tip.
